Funny Little Wyatt

Wow, it has been way toooooo long since I've had a chance to sit down and scrapbook!! Making this layout today felt so good!! I want to thank all of you who keep checking my blog and apologize that I've been so bad about adding anything new for so long! I hope that I am out of my scrapbooking slump and the craziness of the holidays to finally get creative again!
This is my little Wyatt. He is such a funny kid. He isn't known for having the most natural posed smile and so when we were doing this little photo shoot I just had him make a bunch of silly faces for me to show what a ham he can be. I love this kid!

Paying it Forward for Bloggers!

I am participating in a "Pay It Foward" for bloggers. I was one of the first 3 posters on Tobey Shepherd's blog Scrap Those Memories and she is going to send me a fun surprise of goodies!! So I have some scrapping stuff to send along to the first 3 people to leave a comment on this post. So if you are one of the first 3 posters and want some goodies from me, then you agree to "pay it forward" on YOUR blog. Yup, the only requirement is that you have a blog to participate. So let's see all those comments now! And thanks for visiting.

Gobble, Gobble, Gobble

This is my Thanksgiving craft for the year! It's made out of wood and thus quite an accomplishment for me. :) My sweet husband helped me put it all together once I'd painted it. My sons chose the googly eyes instead of painted ones and I think they're adorable! :)

Holilday Cards!!

I am in a bit of shock that Thanksgiving is NEXT week!! It just doesn't feel like the "Holiday's" yet! Perhaps once all the radio stations start playing Christmas music 24/7, there are Christmas lights everywhere you look, and the stores are all filled with crazy shoppers it will though. We'll see. :) Last night I got a chance to make a couple of Christmas cards and I just HAD to share them. Thanks so much for checking my blog and leaving comments. :)

Buddies

My little twins are such buddies and I just love it! Ever since I was little I have been intrigued by twins. (I read all the Sweet Valley Twins books!) I always thought it would have been cool to be a twin or to have twins. When we found out we were expecting twins I was soooo excited! I always think it's interesting when people make comments about twins like "I'm glad it's you and not me!" I think to myself, me too! Or comments like, "Double the trouble huh?" Well I guess so but my husband and I have always said, "But Triple the Fun!" It is so much fun to see two siblings at the exact same age! My boys are not identical but do share a lot of similarities. Both are very active little 3 year olds and they like a lot of the same things (like Scooby Doo which they are currently watching). One prefers milk though, while the other could live on water. One would live in a diaper 24/7 if we'd let him while the other hates to be 'naked' (just in a diaper). They are such buddies and play really well together. They have a special bond. I hope they are always best friends!

* I made two copies of this layout so that each of them can have a copy in their album. :)
Edited to add that I got the layout idea from a sketch in Scrapbooks Etc. magazine. :)

My Baby Chick

Ok, so this isn't my favorite layout of all time but I would have to say that I do think this little gal is just about as adorable as they come! Belle was so cute in her little costume and didn't seem to mind all the extra padding. All four of my little kiddos were so stinkin' cute this Halloween and they all had such a fun time. Fun times!!

Family & Isaac

I snuck in a little scrappy time this weekend and got 2 layouts completed. Boy does that feel good! Both of them were completed using patterned paper I'd gotten from friends (Chris & Michelle). Thanks gals! The layout of our family uses a photo taken at my brother's wedding this last August. What a good looking crew huh? ;) The layout of my son has journaling strips with questions and answers he provided...Mostly his current favorites... just things I'll want to make sure we all remember in the years to come. And boy isn't he a cutie pie!! :)

Sparkly & Glittery

Last week I had the opportunity to go to another girls night stampin' party. The gal that throws these get togethers brings cards that she has made and the supplies for us to copy them. How cool is that?! I don't have to buy numerous supplies and I get to benefit from her expertise. This time she had two cards with lots of glitter...something I've never used on a layout or card before so fun and new for me. Here ya go...

Halloween Cards

I got a chance last night to work on a few more Halloween cards. Here is a small sampling... Nothing fancy but still fun I thought. :)

An oldie but a goodie

It's been way too long since I've been able to scrapbook!! I'm hoping to fix that this weekend when my husband gets back in town from his job interviews. Until then how about I share some of my older work... :) Since it's Autumn I'll share a couple of my favorite pumpkin/pumpkin patch layouts.
Autumn is my favorite season! I just love the beautiful leaves changing color, the crisp evenings, the sweaters & cuddling up with a good book. I love pumpkin patches...mostly for the photo taking opportunities but I figure that's ok since I consider myself an amateur photographer. ;)

Just Because

I haven't had a chance to escape to my 'Scrap Cave' all week and so I'll share with you a card I made last week to add to the ones for my son's teacher. I sure hope she likes to send cards. ;) It was super simple but I thought it turned out fun. I'm mostly trying to use up my growing pile of scrap materials. I have this goal to use up my scraps more so that I don't feel guilty about buying new stuff... if I use up all my old stuff then I NEED new stuff right?? hehehe

Perhaps this is a funny thing to scrapbook

Perhaps this is a funny thing to scrapbook but either way I just had to do it! It's rare to have a pregnancy photo that you 'kinda sorta' like and so when I got this one back, which was taken last Christmas, I decided it was worth keeping. I wasn't quite sure how I wanted to scrapbook it though until tonight. You know when inspiration hits and a light bulb just goes off. ;) So, I decided that instead of being specific to this particular pregnancy I'd be general about pregnancy all together. Plus, usually you hear about all the things people don't like about pregnancy...and don't get me wrong, I've got my fair share... but I decided to focus on the positive here as a reminder next time I'm suffering from morning sickness... And NO, that's not any time soon! ;)

Got a few minutes to myself...

The other day I got a few minutes to myself (and it was sooo nice) ... so guess what I did? Haha, you know what I did! I scrapbooked! It felt good too. :) The "Thanks" card will be part of the pack I give to my son's 1st grade teacher and the "Halloween" card... well, we'll just have to wait and see. ;) Thanks for looking.

Happy Birthday

I hardly ever make cards! I just figure people are going to throw them away and so there isn't much point in spending that extra time. But with that said I have been getting excited about making cards lately! Crazy perhaps but still fun and usually not so time consuming. I'm thinking perhaps I'll make a bunch of cards to give to my son's 1st grade teacher for Christmas this year. So hopefully this is the first of many.
I've also scanned the inside to share. :)

When did my little guy get so old?

It still amazes me that my little guy is already 6 1/2 years old and in the first grade. But here he is. I took this photo on his first day of school this year. He was so cute. He was up by about 5:30 that morning and so excited for the day to begin. He kept wanting to know when we could finally walk down to the bus stop. He was so adorable getting ready and posing for photos. Lucky me! He is loving his class this year and I am so impressed with how well he's reading. He hates 'learning' how to read but loves 'knowing' how. :) I am so proud of him!

Binkie Babes

Aren't these two little girls just adorable?!! My little Belle is on the left and my sister's little Addie is on the right. My sis and neice came to visit for a week the beginning of September and it was so much fun to see these two little gals together. It's a little early for them to be playing (since Belle is only 5 months and Addie 3 months) but they were still so cute together! They liked looking at each other and smiling and they'd just stare at each other as if trying to figure out who that other little cutie was. :) Someday they'll be great friends! For now they're just our adorable "Binkie Babes!"

Stampin' Party

Last week I got the chance to go to a Stampin' Up party with a bunch of the wives from my husband's school. I took Isabelle with me and she was a total doll and just hung out and didn't complain at all. It was really fun for me to get out for a little while and have some 'me' time...and even better that it was scrappy 'me' time. ;) Here are a couple of the cards I was able to make.

My {Sweet} Little Niece

This is Addie! Isn't she adorable?!! She and my sister came and visited us for a week the beginning of September and it was so much fun! I loved taking tons of photos of them and this was one of my favorites. Can't you just see why?! I tried to keep the layout simple to keep the attention on how sweet she looks. Don't you just love those eyes?! It felt good to get a couple of layouts done recently. I hope I can keep it up! :) Just a little note: I used the thickers from the dollar store on here and they worked perfectly! I love those things now!!

Play

I got lucky today and while Isaac was at school I was able to get the younger 3 kiddos down for a nap at the same time!! And so while I should have been washing my dishes, or mopping my kitchen floor, I snuck down into my little cave to scrapbook instead. ;) Here is the finished product of a page I've wanted to work on ever since I took these photos! Tayden is just a ball of fun whenever he's around water! He loves the bath, the pool, puddles, water soaking dishes in the sink, any water, anywhere! He's such a little ham too and always gives me the best smiles when I've got the camera out... A scrapbookers dream! I love this little kid and count myself as lucky to call myself his mom!
When I was in Utah I got to go to a really cool scrapbook sale and picked up a bunch of new chipboard from We R Memory Keepers. I've never used them before but after using them on this layout I've fallen in love! The title and tag are part of the set I bought. Lucky for me too I got an awesome deal!! Only $2.50 a box (regularly around $10). :) Gotta love those scrapbooking bargains!

Thank You

I really appreciate all of you that keep checking in on my blog. I'm sorry I haven't added anything new for a couple of days. I just haven't had the chance to scrapbook in so long! It bugs me too because I really want to be creative! Right now I'm being creative washing dishes, doing laundry and keeping 4 children alive (notice I didn't say 'happy'... as we all have our fair share of grumpiness every now and then.) I'll add some of my older work again... Just bear with me and I promise to post new stuff soon.

Wyatt

Well, I have got layouts of all 4 of my kiddos on my blog now. This isn't a new one but I love it and I won't have time to scrapbook today. I just 'have' to have all my little ones represented too! I'm strange... I know. This is my little Wyatt (Twin B). He is all energy, all the time! He's a sweetheart and a ball of fire all rolled into one adorable little boy. I'm so lucky to be his mom!

My Sweet Little Girl

This is the first layout I've done in about 2 months...for me anyhow and it was actually the first time I've scrapbooked in almost a month! It felt good to get something done! It only took about a 1/2 hour which is good considering that's about all the time I was given! My little Isabelle is just a doll! She's almost always happy and she's just so sweet and cuddly! Her brother's love to hold her and kiss her and smother her with love. It's really cute to watch. She's so cute about it too and just soaks it all in. How did we get so lucky? We ask ourselves this all the time! I'm so blessed to have a daughter and think she's just the sweetest thing in the world!

Funny Kid

Children can be the funniest little creatures sometimes! I made this layout for Tayden a couple months ago about this phase he's been going through...the 'anti-clothing' phase! Even now he still loves to just wear a diaper 75% of the day! He just cracks me up! He has got so much personality and is such a sweetheart. He loves to help me with his baby sister and play outside. I just love this little guy!!

My New Scrapbooking Blog

Taking the advice of my good friend Audrey, I have decided to start a scrapbooking blog! :) I don't live close to anyone that I share my work with and so I'm hoping this will be my way to 'show off' a little bit. ;) That is when I finally find time to scrapbook... with 4 kiddos that's a rarity. Thanks for checking in.

I'll start by sharing a page I made for my son Isaac about 2 months ago. He's in 1st grade now and I think he's just such a cutie!
